Creating internal links between your blog posts is an essential element in your SEO strategy. Creating a net of interconnected posts helps search engines see all the pages on your blog that aren't "isolated". Internal link building is just as essential as external link building.

That's why Editby dedicates an entire section to this aspect. Let's see how to create links in a few seconds to previous articles on our blog (even those you don't remember writing!).

  1. Add your company sitemaps.
First of all, we need to insert the sitemaps of our site into the settings. Inside Editby, you can insert multiple companies and for each company you can insert a sitemap. In this way, every time you need to use the sitemap of a company to create links with other articles of the blog, you will just have to select it in the drop-down menu that we will see later.
Click on the settings button on the left of the platform

Click on companies and enter all your company information.

  2. If you don't know your sitemap, just insert this text "/sitemap.xml" at the end of the web direction.
For example, in this case I want to extract the Editby sitemap. So I will write "www.editby.ai/sitemap.xml".

If a window opens with a few lines of code (so mostly white), check if there are any additional directions within the page and use that as a new direction to search for the sitemap.

  3. At this point, we have two ways to go.
If we have to create the article from scratch, then we will simply activate the internal backlink function, select the sitemap we are interested in and Editby will automatically insert the backlinks.

If we have already created the article, instead, we should click on the "internal link" button on the right of the platform.

After selecting and adding the sitemap we are interested in, Editby will suggest all the internal links that we can insert into the platform and will ask us to approve them or not.

  4. Once you approve a link suggestion, Editby will automatically add the link into your article.
